Convenient location. Inexpensive. We could afford 2 rooms for a family of 6. Table and chairs in the room and outside the room a couple plastic chairs. PIZZA! Customer oriented. Helped us find things to do in our 1 day passing thru. I saw someone SHAMPOOING the carpet in the room next door when we were leaving. I liked seeing that! Pride of ownership! The owner was creatively making upgrades to an older building.
Inexpensive hotel, so not super thick walls and a little noisy in the morning when everyone packs up and leaves. Older building, but well taken care of.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and the giant moose head in the office/lobby. Picnic tables and grills were a nice touch. Kind of a fun vacation scene with the patio chairs on the sidewalks outside the rooms.
The rooms smelled like smoke despite the non-smoking policy. Probably shouldn't offer ashtrays for smokers right outside the room door. Screen doors on the rooms didn't latch properly (on either of our two rooms) so we had to keep the room door closed to keep the little ones in. The kids were extremely disappointed that the inflatable bounce house pictured on the hotel web site was not there anymore.
Good location for us travelling from New Brunswick to Ontario...nice choice of restaurants in town. Room was large and beds comfortable. Friendly, if a little slow, desk service.
Bathroom not great...bad caulking around tub, large chip out of toilet, which was tricky to flush. No breakfast (unless you wanted to pay $8.95)
The room was newly decoration and cute. Bed was very comfortable
Tub was very old . did not use and the toliet seat needed to be replaced. Otherwise fine
The Inn was centrally located in Gorham. The staff was friendly and helpful. This older facility was nicely maintained and the pool/spa was available even late in the season.
Fantastic staff that was really helpful and enthusiastic.
Facility was somewhat rundown, small room, A/C noisy, traffic noise heard all night, bathroom door was a louvered bifold, not up to standard. the booking confirmation said there would be breakfast available at a fixed cost. None was available and had to go away from location to get food. The screen door did not close properly and was torn.
Wanted to repeat our honeymoon of 50 years earlier, at which time we stayed at Mt. Madison Inn. Actually, neither of us remembered it too well.
Nice place. I have been there before, for a previous class re-union, which was also the purpose of this trip. Clean and quiet.
The bathroom is really small and the fan noisy (19) but that is all pretty minor.
Affordable and clean. 30 minutes from storyland. Offers 3 gas grills with tables to eat on, and a pool which is great for a family.
The jacuzzi stopped working at 8:30 pm. It was supposed to stop at 10 pm
Dusty behind beds and tired bathroom. Very dark room.
This was our second stay at Mt. Madison Inn. We chose this motel because of its convenient location near hiking trails in the White Mountain area; the motel's gracious policy with regard to family pets; the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas; and the generally welcoming staff. Like last time, this time again we were not disappointed. The comfortable and clean room, and the good service made our stay and hiking experience as excellent as always.
The bathroom and shower cabin in the room we were assigned this time was very small, but clean, which to us was most important. So, no complaints, just compliments on the good work the owners have been doing over the years to maintain the excellent appearance of their motel.
The kids loved it. The pool and the bounce house kept them busy and there were other kids there to play with.
Spa not clean. Noisy, truck passing from 5 am
Can't think of anything we didn't like. Room was very clean; staff was awesome! Jamie at the front desk was a delight from the moment we got there through the moment we checked out!!!
